About Us

CrossFit was designed to optimize physical competence in each of the ten recognized fitness domains. Seven years ago I started using CrossFit to supplement my fight training and conditioning for the physical and mental demands of being a fireman. I stuck with it because it worked. What we found however was that our clients were getting fitter in a general sense but were lacking in a foundation of mobility, stability and a structured program to increase strength. Our programing is designed to accomplish three goals. 1.To efficiently perform reality based functional movements. 2. Increase endurance 3.Increase strength/power. A common theme we hear from our clients that have come from other affiliates is that they no longer feel like cattle being herded through a large warehouse. A typical CFTC client competes in endurance based sports, combative sports, performs a physically demanding job, or is trying to simply improve their quality of life. There are a lot of CrossFit Gyms in Northern Va. (all of them much easier to find than ours), some guy actually opened one around the corner from us. We encourage you to check them all out and see which one fits you best. We have been in business for seven years, and have always believed client retention and business sucess should be tied to programming that works. The johnny come lately's seem to embrace a business model of leasing huge spaces, and reducing rates so their success is  based on client numbers instead of quality instruction.
