Why: Because it's the silent killer. Because it's the 5th most common cancer among women and climbing. Because there's not enough research, not enough support. Because we need to find a way to get it detected sooner. Before it's too late.

We will be running/walking in memory of Gayle Lewallen who lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer in 2003. Gayle was my very good friend Lisa's mom and Lisa will be there that day with us. Gayle will be our inspiration, and our reason to raise some awareness so no one else should have to lose their sweet mom like Lisa did.
